Dr. Christian Wetterauer

Prof. Dr. Christian Wetterauer is Chief Physician of Urology at the University Hospital of Basel, where he heads the Centre of Excellence for Robotic-Assisted Prostate Cancer Diagnostics, and Professor and Chair of Urology at Danube Private University in Krems, Austria.

He completed his medical studies at the Albert Ludwig University in Freiburg and trained in urology at the university hospitals of Zurich and Basel, with a research fellowship at the Institut Pasteur in Paris. His current work focuses on minimally invasive and robotic-assisted endourologic procedures and on AI-based clinical decision support for prostate cancer.
