Prof. Dr. Derya Tilki is Professor of Urology at the Martini-Klinik Prostate Cancer Center and the Department of Urology at University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf, and holds an academic appointment at Koç University in Istanbul.
She received her medical education in Germany and the United States, completed her habilitation in 2009 on the mechanisms of angiogenesis and lymphangiogenesis in urological tumours, and trained in uro-oncological surgery at UC Davis (2012–2014) before joining the Martini-Klinik in 2014. She received the EAU's Crystal Matula Award in 2020 and has published more than 180 peer-reviewed papers.
